Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use regular car oil in my motorcycle?

Not if your bike has a wet clutch, which most do. Car oil often contains friction modifiers that reduce clutch grip, causing slippage. Always use a motorcycle-specific oil rated JASO MA or MA2.

What’s the difference between JASO MA and MA2?

MA2 offers higher friction performance and suits modern, high-performance bikes. MA suits older or standard bikes. Both are safe for wet clutches; MB-rated oil is not and should be avoided.

Do 2-stroke engines use the same oil as 4-stroke engines?

No. 2-stroke engines require oil mixed directly with fuel or delivered via injector, while 4-stroke engines use oil in a separate crankcase reservoir like a car engine.

How often should I change motorcycle oil?

It varies by bike and oil type, but a quality full synthetic motorcycle oil generally supports longer intervals than mineral oil. Always confirm against your specific model’s manual.
