Alan Williams — AMSOIL Direct Jobber
I’ve been selling, testing, and using AMSOIL synthetic lubricants from Tomball, Texas since 2004 — over 20 years as an authorized Direct Jobber serving all 50 US states and every Canadian province. I’ve worked with diesel fleet operators across the Houston metro, Harley-Davidson riders and clubs, off-road and powersports enthusiasts, commercial accounts, and independent mechanics. I run independent head-to-head ASTM lab comparisons between AMSOIL and competing synthetics and publish those results on this site. When I tell you AMSOIL Signature Series produces a 0.40 mm wear scar versus Mobil 1’s 0.61 mm, that’s not marketing copy — it’s a number from a certified independent laboratory.

Why the AMSOIL Dealer Program Stands Apart in 2026
Most side-income and distributorship models impose at least one of these friction points: mandatory inventory purchases, monthly sales minimums, franchise fees, territory royalties, or shelf competition with the same brand at a big-box retailer nearby. The AMSOIL dealer program is built differently. No inventory is ever required. No monthly minimums apply. No territory fees exist. No sales quotas threaten your dealership. The only recurring cost is a $100 annual fee.
AMSOIL doesn’t sell through Walmart, Canadian Tire, or mass-market retailers — which means when a customer finds your referral link, they’re buying from AMSOIL’s official storefront and your commission is tracked automatically. There’s no shelf to compete against.
The structural advantage compounds on top of a product that genuinely performs. In over 20 years testing oils in my own vehicles and in commercial applications across the Houston metro, I have seen the difference firsthand. AMSOIL Signature Series 5W-30 produces 34% less engine wear in independent Four-Ball testing (ASTM D4172) than Mobil 1 Extended Performance. It runs 38% cleaner in NOACK volatility testing (ASTM D5800). In TEOST turbocharger deposit testing (ASTM D6335), it leaves four times less carbon buildup. These are numbers from certified independent laboratories — not marketing copy.
When you sell something you can prove is better, every conversation is structurally different. I don’t have to persuade anyone. I show them the numbers.
Summary: $100 USD per year. No inventory. No quotas. No territory. AMSOIL ships directly to your customers, handles all invoicing and payment, and deposits your monthly commission. The business grows as your customer base builds and reorders accumulate.

What’s Inside the AMSOIL Dealer Starter Kit?
When you register, AMSOIL ships your Dealer Starter Kit directly to you. Here is exactly what it contains, including catalog item numbers for independent verification:
Dealer Quick-Start Guide (G3472)
A step-by-step manual covering your first 30, 60, and 90 days. How to approach your existing network, how to register each customer type, how to use the Dealer Zone, and what activity level triggers assigned customer assignments. Written specifically for new dealers — not a product catalog.
P.i. Performance Improver — Full Bottle (API)
One complete bottle of AMSOIL’s P.i. gasoline additive. This is one of AMSOIL’s best-performing impulse-purchase products. A single tank treatment visibly cleans fuel injectors — customers feel it. Ideal for product demos and for handing to a prospect who isn’t ready to switch oils yet but will come back after they notice the difference.
SABER® Professional 100:1 Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil — 2 × 1.5-oz Pillow Packs (ATP)
Two pillow packs of SABER Professional 2-Stroke Oil. Perfect for powersports, lawn equipment, and marine conversations. SABER mixed at 100:1 outperforms a leading competitor mixed at 50:1 in independent carbon deposit testing — a strong opener at outdoor equipment dealers and marinas.

How to Become an AMSOIL Dealer — Step by Step
Total time: approximately 15–20 minutes online.
Step 1. Complete the Online Dealer Application
Visit AMSOIL.com and follow the “Become a Dealer” path — or use my referral link to have your registration associated with Dealer #1243776 so I can personally support your first 90 days. Enter your legal name, home address, date of birth, email, and phone number. You must be at least 18 years old. You can register as an individual or as a legally married couple.
Choose how to receive monthly commission payments: direct deposit to a checking or savings account (most common), or funds loaded onto a reloadable AMSOIL Visa debit card through US Bank (requires your SSN). Pay the $100 USD / $130 CAD annual fee. The entire process takes 10–15 minutes.
Canadian dealers: Use the AMSOIL.ca registration path. The process is identical, priced in CAD, and your customer storefront will be AMSOIL.ca.
Step 2. Check Email Immediately and Access the Dealer Zone
Check your inbox right after submitting. AMSOIL sends your registration confirmation, your unique Dealer referral number (your ZO code), and Dealer Zone login credentials within minutes. Your ZO code is how your commissions are tracked — every time a customer orders on AMSOIL.com or AMSOIL.ca using your number, the commission is attributed to you automatically, indefinitely.
Step 3. Receive Your Dealer Starter Kit
AMSOIL ships your kit within days of registration. It arrives with the Quick-Start Guide (G3472), product samples, all price lists, and the $30 product redemption voucher. Use the voucher immediately on your first product order. The kit is fully refundable within 30 days — return it complete and in resalable condition and AMSOIL refunds your entire registration fee.
Step 4. Complete AMSOIL University Training
Log into the Dealer Zone and work through the AMSOIL University (AU) modules at your own pace. Complete these before making your first sales calls:
- Customer Basic Training — understanding Preferred Customer, dealer, commercial, installer, and retail account types. Important: you cannot begin receiving AMSOIL-assigned customers until you complete this module.
- Commercial Basic Training — how to approach, qualify, and register commercial businesses.
- Sales-Process Training — how to have a product conversation that converts without being pushy.
- Product Knowledge Modules — engine oil, diesel oil, motorcycle, gear lube, 2-stroke, and specialty categories.
Monthly live group training sessions are available for active dealers. All training is free and included in your registration.
Step 5. Register Your First Customers and Accounts
Start with people you already know who drive, maintain, or operate machinery. Direct them to AMSOIL.com or AMSOIL.ca with your ZO code — or register them through the Dealer Zone’s EZ order form. Three account types generate commissions:
- Preferred Customers ($20/year) — individuals who buy AMSOIL at dealer cost for personal use. AMSOIL handles their account, billing, and shipping entirely. You earn a commission on every order they place.
- Commercial Accounts — businesses that use lubricants in their operations: fleets, farms, contractors, landscapers. They buy in volume and reorder regularly. One solid commercial account can generate more commission than dozens of individual customers.
- Installer / Retail Accounts — shops that perform oil changes or stock AMSOIL on their shelves. Approximately 75% of motorists use a shop for oil changes, and that number is growing as vehicles become harder to maintain. The AMSOIL Installer Program Catalog (G3883) covers exactly how to approach these conversations.
AMSOIL handles all order fulfillment, invoicing, and payment for every account type. You earn a commission automatically every time any registered account reorders — no additional work required.

How AMSOIL Dealers Earn Money: Three Income Streams
AMSOIL dealer income comes from three distinct mechanisms that compound as your dealership grows. Understanding all three is how successful dealers structure their business.
Income Stream 1: Retail Profit
You buy at dealer cost — typically 20–25% below suggested retail. You sell at suggested retail or any price above your cost. The difference is your immediate profit on every unit. Each AMSOIL product has a defined profit value documented in the Dealer Profit List (G3501) included in your starter kit. No volume threshold is required — this margin applies to every single unit sold from your very first order.
Income Stream 2: Monthly Commission Bonuses (Profit Tier Schedule)
AMSOIL calculates your total team sales at the end of each calendar month — that’s your personal sales combined with the sales of any dealers you have sponsored. Total team sales volume at US wholesale prices determines which profit tier you qualify for that month. The four tiers:
| Tier | Monthly Team Sales (US Wholesale) | Personal Sales Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | $0 – $1,499 | None required | Base profit values on all products |
| Tier 2 | $1,500 – $2,999 | $500/month minimum | Higher profit values across catalog |
| Tier 3 | $3,000 – $4,999 | $500/month minimum | Further increased profit values |
| Tier 4 | $5,000+ | $500/month minimum | Highest profit values + Leadership Bonus eligibility |
At Tier 4, dealers also become eligible for Leadership Bonuses — additional compensation paid on sales made by dealers on your team who themselves qualify for Tier 4 profits. Key definitions you need:
- Personal sales: Your purchases and direct sales to personally sponsored accounts, based on US wholesale prices.
- Total team sales: Personal sales plus total sales of your personally sponsored dealers and their sponsored dealers. Sales by Tier 4 dealers and their teams are excluded from your total team calculation.
- Selling Dealer: The dealer directly making the product sale.
- Sponsor: The dealer who directly registers and mentors a new dealer.
- Leadership Bonus: Paid on qualified sales by Tier 4 dealers on your team and their personally sponsored dealers. Must be earning at Tier 4 to receive this bonus.
Income Stream 3: Residual Income from Recurring Reorders
Once a customer is registered and has had a good product experience, they reorder. Every reorder from every registered customer, commercial account, or installer account generates a commission automatically — without any additional outreach from you. AMSOIL emails your customers promotional offers on your behalf. MyAMSOILGarage sends service reminders. The system drives reorders passively.
In over 20 years of operating this dealership from Tomball, Texas, the accounts I rely on most for consistent income are not individuals — they are small commercial businesses in the Houston metro that reorder every 30 to 90 days without any prompting from me. The initial investment is building those relationships. Everything that follows is residual.
The AMSOIL Assigned Customer Program — The Growth Flywheel Most Guides Skip
When AMSOIL runs national advertising, sponsorship campaigns, or corporate marketing, new buyers discover AMSOIL through channels that have nothing to do with your dealership. Rather than keeping those buyers as corporate accounts, AMSOIL routes them to active dealers. The more active your dealership — measured by how many qualified customers you register yourself — the more new buyers AMSOIL sends to you.
What Is a “Qualified Customer”?
A qualified customer is a Preferred Customer, retail account, commercial account, or sponsored dealer who purchases at least $100 worth of AMSOIL products (at US wholesale value) within 12 months of registering. The more qualified customers you register, the more entries you accumulate in AMSOIL’s customer-assignment pool.
How to Become Customer Certified
You cannot receive AMSOIL-assigned customers until you are Customer Certified. To qualify:
- Complete Customer Basic Training — a video-based course inside the AMSOIL Dealer Zone (also available on the iOS and Android Dealer Zone app).
- Register two new qualified customers annually in your first two years as a dealer.
- After those first two years, maintain certification by registering four qualified customers annually.
This is the step most new dealers miss. Complete the training first. It unlocks the entire assigned customer pipeline.
The Assigned Customer Multiplier Tiers
| Dealer Activity Level | Your Registered Qualified Customers | AMSOIL Assigned to You / Year | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer Certified | Baseline — training completed | 15–18 per year | 1× |
| Active Dealer | 12+ qualified customers | 30–36 per year | 2× |
| Growing Dealer | 20+ qualified customers | 45–54 per year | 3× |
| Established Dealer | 28+ qualified customers | 60–72 per year | 4× |
| Senior Dealer | 36+ qualified customers | 75–90 per year | 5× |
An established dealer receiving 60–72 assigned customers per year is receiving more than one new confirmed buyer per week — entirely from AMSOIL’s marketing budget, not their own. The program compounds: the more customers you register, the more AMSOIL sends you, which increases your tier, which increases your assignment rate further.
Who Succeeds as an AMSOIL Dealer: Six High-Value Market Niches
The most successful AMSOIL dealers are people already embedded in communities that use engines and care about performance. Here are the six niches where I’ve seen dealers build the most consistent long-term income over 20 years operating in the Houston metro and across the US.
1. Diesel Truck Owners & Commercial Fleets
Independent SAE J1321 testing shows AMSOIL Series 3000 5W-30 synthetic diesel oil improves Class 8 truck fuel economy by up to 8.2% compared to conventional lubricants. A fleet operator running 100 Class 8 trucks spends approximately $2.5 million annually on diesel fuel. An 8.2% improvement is $205,000 per year in fuel savings alone. That number ends skepticism in under 60 seconds. The Houston metro has one of the highest concentrations of diesel truck operators and regional trucking companies in the US — this is my home market and my most consistent source of commercial account income since 2004.
Key products: AMSOIL Series 3000 5W-30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil, AMSOIL 15W-40 Commercial-Grade Diesel Oil, AMSOIL Diesel All-In-One Fuel Additive, AMSOIL SEVERE GEAR® Synthetic Gear Lube.
2. Motorcycle & Harley-Davidson Riders
AMSOIL’s primary clutch-compatible V-Twin motorcycle formula meets JASO MA/MA2 certification — a specific technical requirement for wet-clutch motorcycle engines that Harley-Davidson, Indian, and metric bike owners ask about directly. Conventional oil with friction modifiers causes wet-clutch slippage and transmission noise in V-Twin engines. AMSOIL V-Twin motor oil is formulated without friction modifiers for this exact reason. Bike clubs, local HOG chapters, and Facebook groups are among the highest-engagement audiences for AMSOIL product conversations. A single Harley owner who has a good product experience tells their entire club.
Key products: AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motor Oil, AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid, AMSOIL Quickshot® Fuel Additive.
3. Powersports — ATV, UTV, Snowmobile, PWC
These machines operate at extreme heat, extreme cold, and continuous high RPM — conditions where synthetic lubricant performance is most visible and most commercially valuable. AMSOIL’s powersports formulas are purpose-built, not re-labeled automotive oil. SABER Professional 2-Stroke Oil mixed at 100:1 outperforms a leading competitor mixed at 50:1 in independent carbon deposit testing — a demonstrable claim at any powersports club or dealer.
Key products: AMSOIL SABER® Professional 100:1 Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil (ATP), AMSOIL 10W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil, AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke® 0W-40 Snowmobile Oil, AMSOIL Synthetic CVT Fluid.
4. Farms & Agricultural Equipment
Tractors, combines, hydraulic systems, grain augers, and utility vehicles all require regular lubrication. Farm operators who extend drain intervals and reduce equipment downtime during planting and harvest have a direct financial reason to switch. A single farm account representing five tractors and a combine represents a commercial account ordering quarterly or more frequently. Late winter and early spring — before planting season — is the best time to approach agricultural accounts.
Key products: AMSOIL 15W-40 Diesel Oil, AMSOIL Synthetic Tractor Hydraulic/Transmission Oil, AMSOIL 80W-90 Long Life Synthetic Gear Lube, AMSOIL 100% Synthetic Small-Engine Oil.
5. Independent Mechanics & Installer Accounts
Approximately 75% of motorists take their vehicles to a shop for oil changes, and that percentage is growing as modern turbocharged direct-injection engines become harder for DIY consumers to service. Every independent mechanic shop and quick-lube in your area is a potential installer account — a business that purchases AMSOIL at dealer cost, offers a premium oil change service, charges accordingly, and orders from you regularly. An installer account servicing 10 customers per day and converting half to AMSOIL Signature Series represents significant recurring commission income. The AMSOIL Installer Program Catalog (G3883) covers the complete account setup, co-op advertising credits, and branded materials available to the shop.
Key products: AMSOIL Signature Series 5W-20, 5W-30, and 0W-20; AMSOIL European Car Formula; AMSOIL Oil Filters (all applications).
6. Construction, Landscaping & Service Fleets
Excavators, skid steers, generators, riding mowers, and light-duty service trucks are all commercial lubrication opportunities. A landscaping company running 12 employees, five riding mowers, three box trucks, and a skid steer represents an account ordering across multiple product categories: 2-stroke for small equipment, 4-stroke small-engine oil for mowers, gear lube for the skid steer, and diesel oil for the trucks. These accounts sign up through a single conversation with the owner and reorder with minimal ongoing effort.
Key products: AMSOIL SABER Professional 2-Stroke, AMSOIL Small-Engine 4-Stroke Oil (AES/ASE), AMSOIL 100% Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease (GWR), AMSOIL Semi-Synthetic Bar and Chain Oil (ABC).
AMSOIL Dealer vs Preferred Customer: Which Is Right for You?
Both programs offer access to AMSOIL products at dealer cost — up to 25% below suggested retail. The difference is what you can do with that access.
| Feature | AMSOIL Dealer — $100 USD/yr | Preferred Customer — $20 USD/yr |
|---|---|---|
| Buy at dealer cost (up to 25% off retail) | ✔ Yes | ✔ Yes |

| Best for | Building income, serving accounts, building a business | Personal vehicle maintenance savings only |
If you only want to save money on oil for your own vehicles — trucks, motorcycles, ATVs — the $20 Preferred Customer membership is cheaper and simpler. If you want to earn income, the dealer program is the only structure that opens every earning mechanism. In 20 years of running this dealership, the dealers who don’t build meaningful income in year one are typically people who underestimated how much of the business is relationship-building. The product sells itself once someone tries it. Getting someone to try it is the work.

Why Canada Is a Particularly Strong AMSOIL Market?
AMSOIL Signature Series 5W-30 has a NOACK volatility rate of 5.8% — meaning less than 6% evaporates under high-heat test conditions (ASTM D5800). Mobil 1 Extended Performance tests at 9.3% under the same conditions. At a Canadian winter startup — at minus 20°C or lower — that difference in oil retention matters. AMSOIL’s cold-flow properties ensure faster film formation at startup, the moment when the majority of engine wear occurs.
In diesel trucking, snowmobiling, and powersports across Canadian winters, this performance gap is something customers feel directly, not just read about. The strongest AMSOIL dealer markets in Canada align with the largest concentrations of diesel trucks, snowmobiles, farm equipment, and powersports activity: Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and British Columbia. If you’re in any of these provinces with an existing network in any of those categories, your starting position is excellent.
Why the Product Sells Itself: Independent ASTM Test Data
I’ve been running oil comparisons for over 20 years. The numbers below come from ASTM-certified independent laboratories. These are the specific data points I use in commercial account conversations when a fleet manager, mechanic, or diesel truck owner asks “why should I pay more for AMSOIL?”
Comparisons: AMSOIL Signature Series 5W-30 vs Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W-30. Tests conducted per ASTM methods by independent certified laboratories.
| Test (ASTM Method) | AMSOIL Signature Series 5W-30 | Mobil 1 EP 5W-30 | What It Means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Four-Ball Wear (ASTM D4172) | 0.40 mm wear scar ✔ | 0.61 mm wear scar | Smaller = better. AMSOIL produces 34% less engine wear in metal-to-metal contact simulation. |
| NOACK Volatility (ASTM D5800) | 5.8% evaporation ✔ | 9.3% evaporation | Lower = stays in your engine. Less oil consumption, fewer emissions, better protection in turbocharged engines. |
| TEOST 33C Deposits (ASTM D6335) | 7.0 mg deposits ✔ | 28.2 mg deposits | Lower = cleaner turbocharger. AMSOIL produces 4× fewer carbon deposits — directly relevant to every modern turbo-direct-injection engine. |
| Total Base Number (TBN) | 12.6 ✔ | 9.1 | Higher = better acid neutralization capacity. Protects engine internals longer, especially at extended drain intervals. |
| LSPI Events (GM Dexos1 Gen 2) | Zero events ✔ | LSPI risk documented | LSPI causes catastrophic piston damage in modern GDI turbocharged engines. AMSOIL achieved zero events in GM’s official test. |
| Oil Drain Interval | Up to 25,000 miles / 1 year ✔ | Up to 10,000 miles | Fewer oil changes for your customers — lower total maintenance cost even at a premium per-change price. |
| Diesel Fuel Economy (SAE J1321) | Up to 8.2% improvement ✔ | Baseline conventional | In Class 8 truck testing with AMSOIL synthetic engine and drivetrain lubricants. A 100-truck fleet saves approximately $205,000/year at this rate. |
How I use this data: I don’t lead with product specs. I lead with the number that matters most to the person I’m talking to. For a fleet manager, that’s the $205,000 fuel savings. For a Harley rider, it’s the JASO MA/MA2 certification. For a turbocharged car owner, it’s zero LSPI events. For someone who just wants to know if it’s better oil, I show them the wear scar comparison and let the numbers close the conversation. In 20 years of doing this, I have never had to oversell AMSOIL to someone who understood the test methodology.

What Dealers and Customers Say:
“I started as a Preferred Customer because I just wanted to save money on oil for my diesel trucks. After six months I switched to the dealer program. Now I supply three small fleets in the Houston metro and it’s become a second income I didn’t plan for.”
— Commercial account customer, Houston area
“The fuel economy numbers Alan showed me were hard to ignore. We run eight Class 8 trucks. The improvement in miles per gallon paid back the product cost premium in the first quarter — and our drain intervals went from quarterly to once a year.”
— Owner-operator, Texas Gulf Coast
“I was skeptical because it sounded like every other MLM pitch I’d heard. The difference was I’d been using AMSOIL in my Harley for three years already and knew the product was real. Selling something you believe in makes every conversation feel honest instead of awkward.”
— Motorcycle dealer, Texas
Frequently Asked Questions
Every question a prospective dealer needs answered before signing up.
1. How much does it cost to become an AMSOIL dealer?
The annual AMSOIL dealer fee is $100 USD or $130 CAD. There are no inventory purchase requirements, no minimum monthly sales, no territory fees, and no additional setup costs. Your Dealer Starter Kit includes a $30 product redemption voucher — reducing your effective first-year cost to approximately $70 USD. Premium Dealer Zone access (valued at $119.40/year) and all AMSOIL University training are included free in year one. New dealers also receive a 10% rebate on their first order placed within 30 days, on up to $1,000 in product purchases. The full fee is refundable within 30 days if you return the kit complete and in resalable condition.
2. Do AMSOIL dealers make money?
Yes, through three income streams. First, retail profit: the margin between your dealer cost and what customers pay, on every unit sold. Second, monthly commission bonuses: AMSOIL calculates your total team sales volume each month and applies a tiered profit percentage. The Profit Tier Schedule has four tiers from $0–$1,499/month at Tier 1 up to $5,000+/month at Tier 4, which unlocks Leadership Bonuses. Third, residual income from customers who continue reordering. Commercial accounts, fleets, and installer shops generate particularly strong residual income because they reorder regularly in volume. Part-time dealers typically earn supplemental income. Full-time dealers with established commercial networks can earn six-figure annual incomes. There is no guarantee of specific income levels.
3. Can I become an AMSOIL dealer in Canada?
Yes. The full AMSOIL dealer program is available in all Canadian provinces and territories. The annual fee is $130 CAD. Canadian dealers use AMSOIL.ca as their customer storefront, receive commission payments in CAD, and access the same Dealer Zone tools and training as US dealers. AMSOIL maintains warehouses throughout Canada, so shipping to Canadian customers is comparable to US fulfillment times. Canada is a strong market — particularly in diesel trucking, snowmobiles, and powersports — where cold-weather synthetic lubricant performance is a direct, demonstrable selling point.
4. Do AMSOIL dealers need to carry inventory?
No. Zero inventory is required at any point. AMSOIL warehouses, picks, packs, and ships every order directly to your customers. You never handle product unless you personally choose to keep samples for demos, which is optional and never required by the program.
5. Are there sales quotas or purchase minimums for AMSOIL dealers?
None. There are zero sales quotas and zero monthly purchase minimums to maintain your dealership. You renew annually for $100 USD / $130 CAD and sell at any volume and pace you choose. You will not be penalized or terminated for low-volume months. The only consequence of low activity is not qualifying for higher assigned customer tiers, which require registering 12, 20, 28, or 36+ qualified customers.
6. What is the difference between an AMSOIL dealer and a Preferred Customer?
An AMSOIL Preferred Customer ($20 USD/year) buys products at dealer cost for personal use only — no commissions, no business tools, no commercial account access. An AMSOIL Dealer ($100 USD/year) buys at dealer cost AND earns commissions on every customer sale, can register commercial and installer accounts, gets full Dealer Zone access, participates in the assigned customer program, and can sponsor other dealers for team commissions. If you want to save money on oil for your own vehicles, Preferred Customer is simpler and $80 cheaper per year. If you want to build income, the dealer program is the only structure that makes it possible.
7. What is the AMSOIL assigned customer program?
AMSOIL routes new buyers — people who find AMSOIL through corporate advertising or AMSOIL.com — directly to active dealers. To receive assigned customers, you must first become Customer Certified by completing Customer Basic Training in the Dealer Zone and registering two qualified customers annually (four annually after year two). Once certified: baseline dealers receive 15–18 assigned customers/year. Register 12+ qualified customers: 30–36/year. Register 20+: 45–54/year. Register 28+: 60–72/year. Register 36+: 75–90/year. These are confirmed buyers AMSOIL routes to you from their own marketing; more active dealerships receive more.
8. What comes in the AMSOIL dealer starter kit?
The kit includes: Dealer Quick-Start Guide (G3472); one full bottle of P.i. Performance Improver Gasoline Additive; two 1.5-oz pillow packs of SABER Professional 100:1 Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil; Wholesale Price List (G3500/G8500); Dealer Profit List (G3501); Literature & Sales Aids Price List (G15); pen, padfolio, and window static cling; and a $30 product redemption voucher. New dealers also receive free Premium Dealer Zone access (valued at $119.40/year) and full AMSOIL University training access immediately upon registration.
9. How does the AMSOIL profit tier schedule work?
AMSOIL calculates your total team sales — personal sales plus sales from any dealers you sponsor — at US wholesale dollar values for each calendar month. Tier 1: $0–$1,499/month (no personal sales requirement). Tier 2: $1,500–$2,999/month (requires $500/month personal sales). Tier 3: $3,000–$4,999/month (requires $500/month personal sales). Tier 4: $5,000+/month (requires $500/month personal sales, unlocks Leadership Bonus eligibility). Higher tier means higher profit percentage applied to all product sales that month. As your customer base grows and reorders compound, your monthly volume naturally climbs through the tiers over time.
10. What is a qualified AMSOIL customer?
A qualified customer is a Preferred Customer, retail account, commercial account, or sponsored dealer who purchases at least $100 worth of AMSOIL products (at US wholesale value) within 12 months of registering. The number of qualified customers you maintain determines your assigned customer allocation tier and your Customer Certified status.
11. How do AMSOIL dealers get paid?
AMSOIL pays dealers monthly via direct deposit to a checking or savings account, or by loading funds onto a reloadable AMSOIL Visa debit card through US Bank (the debit card requires your Social Security Number). Commissions are calculated based on total team sales for the month, applied to your current profit tier percentage. Payment comes directly from AMSOIL — there is no intermediary.
12. Can AMSOIL dealers sell on Amazon, eBay, or Craigslist?
No. AMSOIL’s dealer agreement explicitly prohibits selling, advertising, or posting prices of AMSOIL products on online auction sites (eBay), online marketplace sites (Amazon), or online classified sites (Craigslist). Dealers direct customers to AMSOIL.com or AMSOIL.ca with their ZO referral number. This is a firm requirement; violation is grounds for dealer termination.
13. What types of commercial accounts work best for AMSOIL dealers?
AMSOIL dealers are most successful with small to medium-sized regional businesses. The strongest commercial niches: agriculture (farms — tractors, combines, hydraulic equipment), construction (equipment fleets — excavators, skid steers, generators), trucking and transportation (regional fleets, owner-operators), landscaping (truck fleets, mowers, two-stroke equipment), independent auto repair and quick-lubes (registered as installer accounts), and HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service fleets. Large industrial businesses are typically handled by AMSOIL’s corporate industrial team.
14. What is an AMSOIL installer account?
An installer account is a shop — quick-lube, independent mechanic, or tire shop — that performs oil changes and uses AMSOIL product for their customers. Approximately 75% of motorists use a shop for oil changes, and that number is growing. A shop registered as an installer account purchases AMSOIL at wholesale pricing, offers a premium synthetic oil change service, and orders regularly. You earn commissions on every product purchase the shop makes. AMSOIL also provides installer accounts with co-op advertising credits and branded merchandising materials. The AMSOIL Installer Program Catalog (G3883) covers the complete account setup and approach.
15. Do I need to sponsor other dealers to make money?
No. Sponsoring other dealers is entirely optional and not required to earn income. Many successful AMSOIL dealers build solid, consistent incomes entirely from direct customer and commercial account sales — without ever sponsoring a single sub-dealer. Sponsoring is one path to scaling income beyond what personal selling alone can produce, since you earn commissions on sponsored dealers’ sales. If you sponsor a dealer, AMSOIL expects you to provide genuine training and mentorship. It’s a real business relationship, not a passive income shortcut.
16. Is becoming an AMSOIL dealer worth it in 2026?
For the right person, yes. I’ve been operating this dealership from Tomball, Texas since 2004. The product genuinely outperforms competition in every independent ASTM test I’ve run: 34% less engine wear, 4× better turbocharger deposit control, zero LSPI events, and up to 8.2% diesel fuel economy improvement. The program has no inventory risk, no sales quotas, and a $100 annual fee refundable within 30 days. Building meaningful income takes time — typically 6–18 months of consistent relationship building before residual reorders become substantial. The people who succeed fastest are those with existing networks in diesel, motorcycles, farming, or commercial equipment — industries where the oil genuinely matters and the performance gap is demonstrable. If you want passive income from day one without doing the work, this is not the right program. If you want a legitimate, low-overhead business built on a product you can prove is better — and you’re willing to put in the relationship work — it absolutely is worth it.
